Both programs – the Full-Year Program and the Compact Program – begin on September 15, 2025, and conclude in August 2026. The final component of the program is the Summer Dance Intensive "Phoenix 2026," held in July or August.

“Dance Vision,” SADA’s flagship program, represents the pinnacle of dance education in Austria—seamlessly blending the precision of classical ballet with the expressive freedom of contemporary dance. It is tailored for students who are committed to pursuing dance as a professional career. As the latest initiative of SADA, “Dance Vision” builds on the academy’s rich legacy of excellence, aiming to establish itself as a cornerstone of vocational dance training. The program is specifically crafted to bridge the gap between dance education and professional practice, addressing the ambitions of young adults and emerging professionals aged 15 and above. The “Dance Vision” Professional Program marks the beginning of our comprehensive dance education for the 2025–2026 academic year, starting this September. Both programs culminate in SADA’s renowned summer dance intensive, “Phoenix 2026,” held in July or August 2026. These programs are designed for individuals who view dance not just as a passion, but as a profession—providing in-depth technical training, artistic development, and preparation for the diverse career paths that lie ahead.

CURRICULUM
OVERVIEW
Dance Vision offers two full-year training options:

Full-Year Program: A comprehensive 5-day training regimen, offering 11–15 units per week.

Compact Program: A focused 3-day training regimen, offering approximately 6–9 units per week.
Both programs are expertly designed to blend the disciplined foundations of ballet with the dynamic creativity of contemporary dance, exemplifying SADA's commitment to holistic dance education.*
Carefully structured as vocational training, they provide students with the critical skills, techniques, and artistic sensibilities necessary for professional success in the dance industry.

Ballet Technique Training – 5 units/week

Contemporary/Modern Dance Technique – minimum 2 units/week

Additional Components (monthly or integrated):
Improvisation, Contact Improvisation, Dance Composition, Character Dance, Somatic Practices, and Dance Science (nutrition, mental health, biomechanics, anatomy).***
Total: Approximately 11–15 units per week.
Compact Program (3 Days/Week):
Students enrolled in the Compact Program participate in a curated selection of ballet, contemporary dance, and body conditioning classes, drawn from the core curriculum and adapted to a three-day schedule.
Total: Approximately 6–9 units per week.
Both programs culminate in the Summer Dance Intensive "Phoenix 2026." Please note that additional charges may apply for participating in "Phoenix 2026."
*Please note that the actual number of units may vary slightly due to Austrian public holidays, during which classes will be suspended unless essential rehearsals for upcoming performances are needed. We appreciate your understanding and flexibility in upholding the quality and integrity of our training while respecting these holidays.
**SADA reserves the right to implement any necessary modifications to the programs as required.
***The "Additional Dance Science" unit is scheduled during a designated time slot on one weekday each month, aligning with our comprehensive training program.

Training Experience: Applicants should have a solid foundation with at least 3 years of consistent training in ballet, modern, or contemporary dance, demonstrating a commitment to their craft.

Age Criteria: The program welcomes dancers aged 15 and above who are ready to take their dance education to a professional level. "Dance Vision" is specifically designed to support the growth of young talents aged 15 to 19 and also caters to adults 19 and older, ensuring a mature and focused learning environment.

Creative Mindset: Candidates should possess a fervent desire for creative exploration, showcasing a willingness to dive into innovative movement forms and choreographic concepts.

Professional Ambition: A clear aspiration towards a professional career in dance is essential. We seek individuals who are not only passionate about dance as an art form but are also considering it as a viable and fulfilling career path.
