Admissions

Your programme. Your next step.

Choose one of our four programmes for yourself or your child. We welcome dancers and families from Salzburg, the surrounding region and around the world.

01

Choose your programme

Review the age guidance, experience and training commitment, then open the application for that programme.

02

Send your application

Share the dancer’s background and goals. A parent or legal guardian submits First Step applications; Dance Vision applicants choose an in-person or video audition. Each programme has its own assessment process.

03

Review placement and practicalities

We review suitability and discuss the timetable, start date, complete fees and any required arrangements. Visits are by prior confirmation.

04

Confirm your place

Enrolment follows a separate confirmation process and participation agreement. Submitting a form does not reserve a place.

Training alongside life at home

A next step within reach.

For dancers in Salzburg, the surrounding region and Bavaria, training needs to fit alongside school, existing commitments and travel.

  • First Step offers a structured foundation alongside school.
  • Dance Vision has three- and five-day pathways, with training arrangements and timetables confirmed individually.
  • Ask about rehearsals and intensive periods as well as weekly attendance.

Planning a move to Salzburg

A clear start in a new city.

International applicants use the same programme application forms. Dance Vision accepts video auditions, so you can begin the process from where you are.

Discuss placement, your proposed starting date and practical arrangements before booking travel. The guide below brings the key planning questions together.

Planning your training in Salzburg

School & current training
Discuss school, existing dance classes, travel and attendance together. Timetable compatibility needs individual confirmation.
Coming from abroad
Arrange general schooling, accommodation, meals and travel independently. Find practical resources in our FAQ. Explore practical questions
Teaching languages
International training commonly uses English; First Step is primarily in German. Ask about your intended classes.
Short visits with a young dancer
Before booking, check the provider’s age, consent and accompanying-adult requirements. Wait for confirmed programme dates and participation. Plan a short stay.
Moving here to train
For a dancer under 18, agree suitable housing and day-to-day support with the parent or legal guardian. A parent does not automatically have to live with the dancer; the arrangement must suit their age, needs and accommodation. Plan longer-term living arrangements.

Before making a commitment

Full fee information and participation terms are provided before enrolment. SADA does not provide general schooling or boarding, and certificates are not state-recognised degrees. Find practical answers in our FAQ.
