Who organises SADA programmes
The organiser and contracting party is Dance Vision Salzburg (DVS), an Austrian association. Austrian association registration number (ZVR): 1403401151. Salzburg Academy for Dance Arts (SADA) is its educational initiative, not a separate legal entity. References to SADA in the organisation and provision of programmes mean DVS acting under the SADA name.

Enquiries, applications and auditions
An enquiry, application or preliminary application is a request to discuss or assess a possible place. Submitting it does not create a participation contract, guarantee admission or create an obligation to pay tuition or service fees. An automatic receipt or invitation to an audition is not an offer of a confirmed programme place.
Submitting a nonbinding application does not incur an audition or non-attendance fee. Any separate audition fees and cancellation conditions are clearly communicated and agreed in advance. Please let us know promptly if you cannot attend an agreed appointment.
Your programme agreement
Before you make a binding commitment, we provide the relevant programme, dates or duration, training scope, total price, payment arrangements and cancellation terms, together with any information required by law. A place is confirmed through the participation agreement or another clearly communicated and validly agreed booking process.
These general terms apply where they are included in that agreement. Individually agreed terms take priority over programme-specific terms, which take priority over these general terms, subject throughout to mandatory law. A website update does not retrospectively change an existing agreement. Participation does not itself create membership of the association. Employment, artistic engagements and partner arrangements require separate agreements.
Fees, absence and cancellation
The agreement specifies the fees and payment dates. Instalments of a fixed programme fee are a payment arrangement and do not, by themselves, turn the programme into a monthly subscription. Cancellation, absence and termination are handled under the agreed terms and applicable law.
If we cannot provide an agreed service, your applicable rights to performance, a price reduction, reimbursement, termination or other remedies remain unaffected. Statutory rights are not replaced by a general “no refunds” rule.
Consumer withdrawal rights
Consumers may have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance or off-premises contract, normally within 14 days of concluding a service contract. Exceptions depend on the particular service and circumstances; we do not treat every dance programme as automatically exempt.
Where a withdrawal right applies, we provide the required instructions and model withdrawal form before the contract is concluded. An early start during that period requires the applicable express request and information. Nothing in these terms removes a mandatory withdrawal right.
Training and changes
Programme information describes the intended training. Any necessary change to teaching staff, timetable, venue or content must have an objective reason, remain reasonable and respect the essential agreed service. We communicate material changes as soon as reasonably practicable. Your rights arising from a change or failure to provide the agreed service remain unaffected.
Training supports development but cannot guarantee a professional engagement, admission to another institution, a particular role or a particular outcome. Any qualification or certificate is described in the programme information and agreement.
Young dancers and practical arrangements
Applications for participants under 18 require a parent or legal guardian’s involvement. The participation agreement identifies the appropriate contracting party and any necessary guardian approval. Families should agree arrival, collection and emergency-contact arrangements with us. Supervision arrangements follow the programme agreement and our legal duties of care.
SADA supervises its official programme activities at the times and locations communicated by the academy. Families arrange care, journeys and collection outside those activities. Our legal duties of care remain unaffected.
For participants under 18, including those aged 16 or 17, SADA requires a parent or legal guardian to approve the travel or living arrangements and agree support suited to the dancer’s age and needs.
Short visits and longer-term living arrangements
For a short visit, check the accommodation provider’s minimum age, guardian-consent and accompanying-adult requirements before booking.
For a longer period of training, agree suitable housing and day-to-day support with the parent or legal guardian, taking account of the dancer’s age, maturity and needs. Guardian involvement does not automatically mean a parent must live with the dancer.
The rules for the chosen accommodation depend on the actual arrangement, not simply the length of the stay. Travel, accommodation, meals, insurance and immigration arrangements are included only where expressly agreed. International applicants should check the entry and residence requirements applicable to them. Guidance or an external link does not itself constitute a booking of a third-party service.
Practical guidance for families of under-18s
Additional Phoenix condition for dancers under 16
SADA’s Phoenix requirement: for dancers under 16 on the course start date, a parent or legal guardian must arrange a responsible adult aged 18 or above in Salzburg to supervise outside programme hours. This course requirement is separate from the rules that apply to the chosen accommodation.
Care, conduct and media
Participants are expected to follow reasonable safety instructions, respect others and notify the teaching team of a concern that affects safe participation. If sensitive health information is needed, please arrange a suitable way to share it rather than placing it in an initial application.
Application material is used for assessment. Recording or promotional publication involving identifiable participants is addressed separately under the applicable privacy, image and consent requirements. Participation is not blanket permission to use someone’s image.
Liability, applicable law and concerns
Liability is governed by applicable law. Nothing here excludes liability for personal injury, intentional or grossly negligent conduct, or another liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Austrian law applies to the extent validly agreed. Consumers retain mandatory protections and court rights that apply to them, including protections of their country of habitual residence where applicable. These terms do not require a consumer to bring every claim exclusively in Salzburg.
Please send questions or concerns to info@dance.vision. We will review them with you. Any applicable statutory information duties concerning consumer dispute resolution remain unaffected.
